We are currently looking for an Estimator to initially support multiple major and landmark projects across the south east and the midlands predominantly on commercial buildings and schools and offering guidance and support to the Commercial team on projects in sectors ranging from education, residential and commercial.

If you are successful in your application, as Estimator you will become an integral member of a dynamic operations team within a company that offer a generous package, a close-knit team, and the opportunity to work on unique, high value projects, as well as a long-term path to moving into a more Senior role.

The successful Estimator will have prior experience acting as a Estimator within the construction industry.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Previous experience working as an Estimator.
  • Experience working on commercial and residential projects.
  • Full UK Driving License and own car preferred.
  • You must be personable, articulate and confident to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Maintenance Co-ordinator

Due to continued expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time maintenance coordinator to join our friendly team at Layn Developments. We are a national company. However for this role, the successful candidate will be based from our office in Littleport.

Description of role:

  • Responsible for allocating engineers and subcontractors for reactive and planned maintenance prioritising importance and location
  • Tracking, chasing, and progressing planned nationwide maintenance works
  • Planning engineers work schedules
  • Updating job management system and the clients portals with updates and ETAs
  • Ensuring that we meet the clients SLAs/KPIs
  • Organise provisions for travel, accommodation, materials, and plant
  • Monitoring health and safety documentation
  • General business/fleet administration

Skills required:

  • Previous experience within a similar background
  • Strong organisational, prioritising and planning skills
  • Great communication skills verbal and written
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Good general IT skills (Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook)

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Description of role:

  • To provide maintenance and project works to commercial properties
  • To fault-find and ensure satisfactory fault rectification;
  • General maintenance, including hanging doors, fencing, lock changing;
  • Using a mobile phone to manage and record daily work.

Skills required:

  • A self-motivated, conscientious person with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • First class organisational and time management skills.
  • Be able to work under your own initiative and also as part of a larger team.
  • A well-presented professional who takes pride in every job they do.
  • Full UK driving licence (Company Van + Fuel card is provided for this role)
  • Happy to travel with the occasional stay away
